Frisco is a fast-growing and diverse city in the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area with more than 236,000 residents. It’s heavy in Southern hospitality and charm, and offers a friendly community feel, but is only 25 minutes from the bigger-city life of Dallas itself. Among Frisco’s greatest assets are its many parks, with over 50 small neighborhood and larger community parks for everything from disc golf to fishing.

There’s a big health care market in Frisco, which is home to Careington International, HCA Healthcare Center for Clinical Advancement, and Addus HomeCare, which is expanding through a $350 million acquisition. And more than half of patients recommend 38 hospitals within 25 miles, according to Healthgrades, among the highest-rated on its list. It all bodes well for both workers seeking jobs in the industry as well as retirees.

Frisco also offers ample educational and playtime opportunities for children. It houses some of the best public and private schools in the area, and the high school graduation rate is among the highest on the list at 98%. Kids will enjoy Riders Field ballpark, with its Lazy River attraction, and the National Soccer Hall of Fame. But it may be best known for the Star, the 91-acre Dallas Cowboys world headquarters and practice area where fans can interact with their favorite football team.

It’s also where the city hosted the Academy of Country Music Awards in 2023 and 2024.

Live music is big in Frisco, which has welcomed everyone from Blake Shelton to the Zac Brown Band. Many restaurants and bars provide weekly entertainment, and the Frisco Live Concert Series takes place every year.
