What are Fortune digital subscriptions?

If I’m already a Fortune print subscriber, is web access an extra charge?

If you are an individual subscriber to the print edition of Fortune Magazine as of March 4, 2020, you can access the Premium subscription tier on the website at no extra charge for the remainder of 2020. You will have access to other digital benefits including investor guides, list previews, executive insights, proprietary research, and access to the Fortune Premiere Video Hub.

If you purchased a print magazine subscription in the U.S. or Canada after March 4, 2020, you may call Customer Service at 1-888-797-9893 to upgrade your account and purchase digital access. You must activate your complimentary access before June 30, 2020.

How do individual print subscribers activate their complimentary Premium tier access to Fortune.com?

If you qualify, please visit fortune.com/premium and follow the instructions on the page. You must activate your complimentary access by June 30, 2020.

Please note, we are unable to activate access via telephone at this time.

U.S/Canada Subscribers

If you are already a registered user of Fortune.com and you are using the same email address associated with your print subscription, your access is already activated. Sign out and when you log back into Fortune.com, you should be able to immediately take advantage of all of Fortune’s benefits.

If you are not a registered user of Fortune.com or if you aren’t sure if the same email address is associated with your print subscription, you will need to complete a two-step process to activate your complimentary Premium access to Fortune.com.

Visit www.fortune.com/premium and follow the directions on the page.

International Subscribers

If you are a print subscriber outside the U.S. & Canada, please visit www.fortune.com/premium and follow the directions on the page to activate your complimentary Premium access to Fortune.com.

Click on the link on fortune.com/premium and email the requested information (Name, Account Number, Email Address, Mailing Address). Our Customer Service team will then verify your information.

After verification, you will receive an email when your access is activated. Depending on your country of residence, it may at least 5 business days to verify your account and deploy your welcome credentials.

How do I know which subscription tier I have purchased?

To determine which tier you have subscribed to, sign in to Fortune.com. Navigate to ‘My Account’ on the top right of the Fortune.com home page.  Click on the ‘Notices’ tab and your subscription tier will be displayed.

What forms of payment are accepted to purchase a subscription on Fortune.com?

Digital subscribers in the US and Canada may pay with credit card, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. Fortune also accepts payment via Pay Pal and Amazon Pay.

For subscribers located outside the U.S. and Canada, we accept payment in US Dollars, via any of the methods above, for any subscription tier.

Your payment method will be charged automatically on a recurring basis and your subscription will be renewed automatically. You will be charged in advance of each billing cycle unless you cancel.

How do I update my payment information on file?

You can update your payment information here.

Standard Digital and Premium subscribers, please make sure you are signed in and go to My Account page (found at the top right of site).

Once you are logged in to the Fortune Customer Service portal, navigate to “Change My Credit Card” under the Subscription Service Option and update your payment information.

If you subscribed via iTunes or the Android Play Store, you must visit those sites to update your payment information.

How can I upgrade my subscription?

What is the cancellation policy?

You can change or cancel your digital or digital bundle subscription at any time by visiting our online Customer Service Portal or by calling Customer Service at:

What is the refund policy?

The cancellation of a Monthly subscription will become effective at the end of your current billing period and we will stop charging your account. Your subscriber benefits will continue for the remainder of the current billing period.

When an Annual digital or digital + print subscription is cancelled within the first 11 months of the subscription, Fortune will cease your subscriber benefits upon cancellation and issue a refund for the pro-rated portion of the original amount you paid, based on the length of your subscription. If you cancel within the final 30 days of a subscription, the cancellation will not take effect until the end of your current billing period, but your subscriber benefits will continue for the remainder of the current billing period.

How do I access content on Fortune.com?

If you are prompted by a message on our website and receive a message that a Fortune.com subscription is required, please click the sign in link in the message. You can also log on by clicking “Sign In” at the top right of the Fortune.com site.

What should I do if I'm resetting my password but not getting the password reset email?

Check your spam and junk folders. If you still do not see the email, please email support@fortune.com. Be sure that you are logged out of Fortune.com before you click on the link to reset your password.

I just purchased a subscription on Fortune.com but I still can’t get full site access. What’s happening?

If you are unable to get full site access, first try signing out and signing back in (see SIGN IN at the upper right corner of the Fortune.com homepage).

If you are able to sign back in but still cannot view certain content, you likely purchased a lower-tier plan which does not grant access to all content.

To view your current plan, make sure you are logged in (see SIGN IN at upper right corner of the Fortune.com homepage). I subscribed and received my confirmation email. How do I access all of my subscription features?

Thank you for subscribing. Please visit Fortune.com and Sign In with your email address and the password you set while registering. You can also find the login link by clicking “Sign In” at the top right of the Fortune.com site page.

I am a digital subscriber in the E.U., and I am having trouble viewing the site, please help?

Due to E.U. Privacy Laws, even if you are a digital subscriber, you will have trouble viewing the site if your browser cookies are disabled. Please ensure your cookies are enabled on your browser/device to ensure an optimal experience on Fortune.com.

Can I subscribe to a newsletter from Fortune?

Fortune offers a range of newsletters, including daily and weekly editions.  Fortune newsletters offer a sophisticated point-of-view of the most pressing issues of the moment, and a carefully curated collection of must-read articles from across the web.

How do I manage or edit my newsletters?

You can change your newsletter subscriptions at any time. Click the link at the bottom of any newsletter to get to your account page.  Under Newsletters, find the full list of newsletter options. The checkboxes indicate which newsletters you are currently subscribed to. Then click "Manage" to subscribe or unsubscribe from a newsletter.

What do newsletters cost?

Most newsletters from Fortune are free to read in your email inbox.  However, if you want to read them on Fortune.com that will require a subscription to one of our digital tiers (Standard Digital or Premium). You can subscribe to as many as you would like to receive.  There is one newsletter, Fortune Analytics, that is only available to subscribers of the Fortune Premium tier.

How do I change my Email Address for newsletters?

You can edit the email address where you receive newsletters by emailing letters@fortune.com.

I signed up for a newsletter, but it hasn’t arrived.

Sometimes email providers inexplicably decide newsletters are spam. Please check your spam folder for the newsletters you have been missing. If you are using Google's Gmail, check your Promotions tab as well. Not all Gmail users will have a Promotions tab, but often emails from companies end up here.

How do I re-subscribe to newsletters if I accidentally unsubscribed?

Open up the last newsletter you successfully received to find the instructions at the bottom of each newsletter to update email preferences. You'll be able to add yourself back to newsletters here.

Please note: selecting "Unsubscribe" at the bottom of any email from Fortune will remove you from just that email list tied to that particular newsletter.

I'd like to unsubscribe from a newsletter.

What is your refund policy for print subscriptions?

Print Magazine Delivery 

Can I receive the magazine via mail if I am a monthly subscriber? 

No. At this time, only annual Premium subscribers in the U.S. and Canada qualify for delivery of the magazine via mail. You can subscribe to Fortune's print magazine by selecting the Premium Annual option while choosing your subscription plan. You will then receive 12 issues per year (including 3 double issues), delivered to your door.

When should I expect my first Magazine Delivery?  

New U.S./Canada subscribers to the print magazine will receive their first printed issue 6-8 weeks after placing a subscription order. Please note that if your order was received by mail, the 6-8 weeks begins when the order was received. 

If you have not received your first magazine within 8 weeks of your purchase date, please let us know and we'll check on your subscription order. Contact us via the Customer Service Portal or call us at 1-800-621-8000. 

How do I request a missed issue of the magazine? 

Please contact us via the Customer Service Portal or call us at 1-800-621-8000 for assistance. We can only replace recent copies that have not arrived due to a postal or printing error.

Your subscription through Apple News allows you to enjoy the current issue of Fortune Magazine in the Apple News App. To access all of the subscriber-only content on Fortune.com or to receive the print magazine, please subscribe at fortune.com/subscribe

I purchased a digital subscription on an iPhone/iPad. How do I manage my subscription?  

Unfortunately, we do not have the ability or access to make changes to iOS App subscriptions. In order to manage your subscriptions in the app, visit the iTunes App Store and follow the steps below: 

Go to Settings > iTunes & App Store 
Tap your Apple ID > View Apple ID 
Tap Subscriptions > Fortune 

Use the options to manage your membership. If you cancel, your membership will stop at the end of the current billing cycle. 

I purchased a digital subscription on an Android Device. How do I manage my subscription?  

Unfortunately, we do not have the ability or access to make changes to Android subscriptions. In order to manage your subscriptions in the app, visit the Google Play Store and follow the steps below: 

Launch the Google Play Store app 
Tap Menu -> My Apps -> Subscriptions and tap on the Fortune app

Alternatively, tap Menu -> My Apps -> Tap the app of the subscription you'd like to cancel -> Tap the app's details page

I’m confused about which Fortune app to use.

The Fortune Global Business News & Analysis app is currently available only in the U.S. on iOS App Store and Android Play Store and can be used to access all online stories, magazines curated from the past five years, and enjoy an easy-to-read daily newsletter experience. Be sure to search for "Fortune Media" in the app store of your choice.

The Fortune Magazine App exists as a reading tool for print subscribers, has limited functionality and is a replica of our U.S./Canada print magazine.
