Inside Asha Sharma's Overhaul of Xbox | Fortune DailyRead Sebastian's article: https://fortune.com/2026/10/20/the-non-gamer-ceo-racing-to-save-microsofts-xbox/ Microsoft handed the Xbox controller to someone who doesn't play video games. Asha Sharma became CEO of Microsoft Gaming in February after running businesses at Meta and Instacart, but she has no background in gaming. Since then, she has consolidated studios and cut nearly 2,000 jobs. Xbox runs a profit margin of about 3%, the PlayStation 5 has outsold it roughly three to one, and Microsoft is putting its biggest bets on AI. So is Sharma saving Xbox, or getting it ready to sell? Fortune tech correspondent Sebastian Herrera spent time with Sharma for his new piece. He joins host Ellie Austin to explain what he learned about her strategy and what it means for the future of Xbox. Also in this episode: CEO Source with Diane Brady: PG&E CEO Patti Poppe on electricity rates, wildfires, and who pays for the AI power boom. Mark Cuban's warning: AI isn't the biggest threat to your job. Your company's health insurance bill is. Fortune's Marco Quiroz-Gutierrez has the story.
