Daniela Amodei

Anthropic, the AI company Daniela Amodei cofounded with her brother, Dario, just keeps climbing. A February funding round valued the business at $380 billion, up more than 500% from last year. Its chatbot Claude has grown in popularity, with many also drawn to products such as Cowork and Code. Claude Code alone passed a $2.5 billion run rate in February. Amodei serves as president, with duties including safety and trust. That reputation has been crucial over the past year, which saw Anthropic clash with the Pentagon over the use of AI for autonomous weapons and domestic mass surveillance.
