Marianne Lake

Marianne Lake oversees more American household finances than almost anyone alive. As CEO of JPMorgan Chase’s Consumer and Community Banking division, the largest consumer bank in the U.S., she serves more than 86 million consumers and over 7 million small businesses. Her division posted $76 billion in revenue in 2025, adding 1.7 million new checking accounts and 10.4 million new credit card accounts during the year. In June 2025, JPMorgan expanded Lake’s mandate further to the U.K. and, soon, continental Europe, with oversight of the bank’s international consumer banking operations. The move cemented her standing as one of the most closely watched CEO successor candidates at the U.S.’s most profitable bank.
