LifeStraw makes a range of water-filtration systems, including its namesake product. For every product it sells, it donates enough items in turn to provide a child with a year of safe water; since 2014, that program has reached 11.8 million children, primarily in Kenya, by providing purifiers at their schools. LifeStraw’s filters have helped nonprofits like the Carter Center in their effort to wipe out Guinea worm disease; in 2024 alone, the company sent thousands of filters and purifiers to help beleaguered populations, in Gaza, Zambia, and North Carolina after Hurricane Helene.
