Hormel Foods, established in 1891, is a global company that produces, processes, and distributes food brands. Its portfolio includes fresh and frozen produce as well as pantry staples. With stores in more than 80 countries, Hormel’s companies include SPAM, Planters snacks, and turkey specialists Jennie-O. Between 2000 and 2013, Hormel rapidly acquired some of its most notable names including peanut butter maker Skippy and organic meat producer Applegate Farms.
