Change the World 2025
Outsourcing customer service and back-office tasks to workers in developing nations is common; training those workers for more rewarding careers is rare. ADEC Innovations’ hub in Nairobi aims to bring those ideas together. The Nairobi workforce itself is drawn from groups that are often economically disadvantaged in Kenya: Of the roughly 250 full-time staff, 65% come from rural or small-town communities, 53% are women, and 16% are single parents. Once they join, they rise: 92% take part in leadership programs, and 30% earn significant promotions within three years.
