A 30-year Kasikornbank veteran who joined in 1987, Kattiya Indaravijaya leads one of Thailand's largest banks, where she became the first female president in 2016 and its first female and first non-family CEO in 2020. Thailand's weak economy—weighed down by U.S. tariffs and a weak tourism sector—has hit loan demand. Yet the bank's first-half 2026 profit rose 6% to 27.9 billion Thai baht (about $840 million) on booming wealth and fee income.
