Thanks to constantly changing interest rates, the search for certificates of deposit with the highest annual percentage yields (APY) is never ending.

One top-tier contender is Valley Direct thanks to its stellar returns. It can be a great place to store your savings if you can overlook a few peccadillos, such as a limited selection of term lengths and CD types.

Here’s what to know about Valley Direct CD rates.

Rates are current as of Feb. 3, 2026 and are subject to change.

Valley Direct CD rates and products

Valley Direct skips the specialty CD options (think flex, rate bump, business, and IRA CDs), simply offering standard CDs.

Notably, there is currently just one term length: 12 months. Valley National Bank, the financial institution of which Valley Direct is an online division, offers more CD options—but if you want to stick with Valley Direct, the pickings are slim.

It’s also worth mentioning that the minimum opening deposit is $500. If you’re opening a three-month CD, it must be with “new money”—that is, money not currently in a Valley National Bank account.

Compare Valley Direct to competitors

Valley Direct offers generous return rates with its CDs, but its lack of term options is conspicuous. Here’s a look at some of the APYs you’ll find with a couple competing banks.
