After a bruising and eventful political season that captivated and tormented an anxious electorate, Donald Trump has won the presidency.

This election was particularly divisive among the upper echelons of the business world. In the past, many business leaders have stayed out of the fray and publicly mum about their own political beliefs. But this time, CEOs like Pershing Square’s Bill Ackman gave full-throated endorsements of the Republican candidate. Tesla CEO Elon Musk went as far as to campaign for Trump at rallies, and consistently posted about the candidate on social media platform X.

It’s not unusual for business leaders to congratulate the future president. JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon sent his best to President Joe Biden when he won in 2020, along with then-Facebook CEO Sheryl Sandberg, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, and Cisco CEO Chuck Robbins. And Trump has proven to be particularly fixated with displays of loyalty, something that may be factoring into whether or not business executives want to figuratively shake his hand in public.

This year, the congratulatory notes have already started coming in for president-elect Trump. Here are the business leaders who are publicly lining up to acknowledge his victory.

Satya Nadella, CEO, Microsoft

“Congratulations President Trump, we’re looking forward to engaging with you and your administration to drive innovation forward that creates new growth and opportunity for the United States and the world.”
