Answers.com, a portfolio company of Summit Partners and TA Associates, has acquired Easy2 Technologies Inc., a Cleveland–based provider of online and mobile interactive merchandising content for brand manufacturers and retailers. No financial terms were disclosed. www.easy2.com

Bridgepoint has agreed to buy AHT Cooling Systems, an Austrian maker of refrigeration equipment for food retailers, from Partners Group and Quadriga Capital for €585 million. www.aht.at

Cinven has completed its previously-announced €1.49 billion acquisition of CeramTec, a German advanced ceramics company, from Rockwood Holdings Inc. (NYSE: ROC). www.cinven.com

Crestview Partners has completed its previously-announced acquisition of DS Waters of America Inc., an Atlanta-based direct-to-consumer bottled water company, from Kelso & Co. and Summit Partners. No financial terms were disclosed. www.water.com

Delicpol, a Polish confectionery company sponsored by AXA Private Equity and Resource Partners, has acquired smaller rival Cuprod. No financial terms were disclosed. www.delicpol.pl

Fortress Investment Group
 has acquired Dow Jones Local Media Group, operator of 33 local daily and weekly newspapers, from News Corp. (Nasdaq: NWSA). No financial terms were disclosed.www.fortress.com

Goldner Hawn Johnson & Morrison has acquired Control Devices LLC, a Fenton, Mo.-based maker of highly-engineered flow control solutions, from Corridor Capital. No financial terms were disclosed. www.corridorcapital.com

Millstone Capital Advisors has acquired the assets of St. Louis-based Red Lion Beef Corp., owner of the Lion’s Choice restaurant chain, in partnership with former Lion’s Choice executive Mark Disper. No financial terms were disclosed. www.lionschoice.com

NewQuest Capital Partners has offered to acquire China Hydroelectric Corp. (NYSE: CHC), owner and operator of small hydroelectric power projects in China, for $2.97 per share. The deal would value CHC at approximately $160 million. NewQuest currently owns approximately 49.83% of CHC’s outstanding shares. www.chinahydroelectric.com

Palatine Private Equity has sponsored a £17 million management buyout of Icelolly, a UK-based provider of an online holiday price comparison engine. www.icelolly.com

Platinum Equity
 is in talks to acquire MetoKote Corp., a Lima, Ohio-based provider of automotive protective coating solutions, from CCMP Capital Partners, according to an FTC filing.www.metokote.com

Rutland Partners has invested more than £20 million to acquire Bernard Matthews Holdings, a British turkey producer. www.bernardmatthewsfarms.com
