Melanie Kreis has served as CFO of DHL Group—Europe’s largest logistics company—since 2016, making her one of the longest-tenured finance chiefs among global blue-chip companies. A DHL veteran, she joined the company in 2004 after stints at McKinsey and private equity firm Apax Partners, eventually climbing to the CFO seat and to the group board. Her signature is disciplined cost management amid macro turbulence: In full-year 2025, DHL Group exceeded its earnings guidance with operating profit of $6.88 billion—up 3.7% year over year—even as revenue dipped 1.6% to $93.5 billion because of currency headwinds and softer volumes. Under Kreis’s leadership, DHL closed multiple acquisitions in 2025, including that of SDS Rx, a final-mile delivery and specialized health care transportation company in the U.S.
