Kathy Yang took the helm of Hon Hai Technology Group, better known as Foxconn, in 2025 as the Taiwanese manufacturing giant’s rotating CEO, making her the first woman to lead the company. That year, Foxconn reported record revenue of 8.1 trillion New Taiwan dollars ($258 billion), riding the ongoing AI boom and defying headwinds from U.S. President Donald Trump’s tariffs. While best known as one of Apple’s leading manufacturers, Foxconn is also diving into AI infrastructure, which now comprises the bulk of its yearly revenue. The company is expanding its manufacturing footprint outside of China as well, including new plants in India, Vietnam, Mexico, and the U.S. Yang currently serves as Foxconn’s chief campus operation officer and head of its AI software business. On April 1, Yang handed over the rotating CEO position to Michael Chiang, who heads Foxconn’s smart consumer electronics business operations. Foxconn has instituted this rotating CEO system as a way to train the company’s C-suite.
