Estelle Brachlianoff runs what she calls a “resource manager”—not a utility, not a waste company, but an entity that sits at the intersection of water, energy, and materials at a moment when all three are becoming scarcer and more contested. France-based Veolia posted approximately $50.08 billion in revenue in 2025, with Ebitda rising 6.3% to roughly $7.95 billion. The bigger moves came on the growth front: In 2026, Veolia is set to acquire Clean Earth, a Pennsylvania-based hazardous waste company, in a $3 billion deal (pending approval), a big step toward meeting Brachlianoff’s stated goal of doubling U.S. revenue by 2030. Brachlianoff is also pushing Veolia deeper into water technology and AI-enabled infrastructure management, working, for instance, with Amazon to reduce data center water use. Such initiatives position Veolia as a solutions provider for the decarbonization of industrial clients. Brachlianoff also sits on the supervisory board of Hermès International, which speaks to her standing beyond the infrastructure world.
