Janet Truncale made history when she was named EY’s global chair and CEO in July 2024, becoming the first woman to lead one of the Big Four professional services firms. In her first full fiscal year, EY posted $53.2 billion in revenue, up 4% year over year, with consulting and tax services as the primary growth drivers. One of Truncale’s signature strategies is a “Client Zero” model. This sees the company use AI to transform its own processes and platforms, before applying those learnings to its clients’ enterprise-wide transformations. This approach has resulted in more than 100 AI applications deployed and more than 50,000 AI agents in development. AI-related revenue rose 30% in fiscal year 2025. As board chair of Women’s World Banking and audit committee chair of the New York Jobs CEO Council, a coalition targeting 100,000 hires of low-income New Yorkers by 2030, Truncale has made civic accountability as central to her leadership identity as financial performance.
