Three decades after arriving in Los Angeles from the U.K., Donna Langley runs one of the most powerful entertainment portfolios in Hollywood as chairman of NBCUniversal Entertainment. Elevated to her current role in November 2024, her remit includes oversight of a content empire that spans Universal film and television studios, along with Peacock, Bravo, and NBC, including primetime and late night. In doing so, she controls $18 billion in revenue. It’s been a strong 12 months for NBCUniversal on the big and small screen: In 2025, Jurassic World: Rebirth crossed $869 million at the worldwide box office; How to Train Your Dragon topped $636 million; and Wicked: For Good—the sequel to the previous year’s Wicked—opened to $147 million domestically in the biggest debut ever for a Broadway adaptation, pushing the Wicked franchise past $1.3 billion globally. On television, Love Island USA was the No. 1 streaming show of the summer, and America’s Got Talent claimed the top broadcast unscripted slot for its 20th consecutive season.
