Grier, who last year became the first woman to head up EY’s Americas region—the firm’s largest—grew her territory to $16.7 billion in revenue in fiscal 2019, up nearly 9% over the previous year. Since taking on her role, Grier has tried to simplify the firm’s structure, launching a companywide initiative to break down ­silos within EY and streamlining the U.S. area into four main regions.
