After taking over investment manager Fidelity nearly two years ago, Richards has boosted its assets to $565.7 billion, which are managed on behalf of more than 2.5 million clients worldwide. Like many other large asset managers, Fidelity is increasing its focus on sustainable investing. Last year, the firm created proprietary ESG ratings, which it has used to assess and score more than 3,700 companies. During the pandemic, Richards has also become more vocal on the need to rethink capitalism and take into account wider environmental and social mandates.
