Europe's Most Innovative Companies

Now in its second year, Fortune Europe’s Most Innovative Companies is the definitive list of organizations driving the continent forward. In partnership with Statista, patent data and survey data from over 90,000 working professionals was analyzed, on their perceptions of how innovative selected companies were. Statista, in addition, spoke to over 15,000 experts in various fields, from recruiters to management consultants, R&D specialists to patent attorneys, to get the most complete possible view. Together, this information paints a picture of a continent alive with possibility. The ranking represents companies from across 18 countries and 21 sectors, many of which form the foundation of European society—from financial services to the industrial, retail, and tech sectors. List members include organizations transforming our health care system and speeding up crucial diagnoses, brands enabling Europe’s AI push through smarter and faster connectivity, and brands modernizing the way we shop, dress, and manufacture. Together, the companies on the list employed around 18.9 million people and brought in just above $9 billion in revenue.
