Founded in 2018 by two brothers, Daniel and William Roberts, IREN Limited officially began mining operations in 2019 and went public in 2021. Like many miners, IREN has entered the AI industry after securing a five-year, $10 billion  contract for AI cloud services with Microsoft in 2025.
