Renowned investor Katie Haun started her career in crypto as a federal prosecutor. She established the Department of Justice's first crypto task force and led investigations into the hack of Mt. Gox, once one of the largest Bitcoin exchanges.

After her stint in government, she decided to become a venture capitalist and worked at the heavyweight VC firm Andreessen Horowitz before starting her own outfit in 2022. Haun raised $1.5 billion across her venture firm's first two debut funds and has invested in a slew of notable crypto firms, including the stablecoin startup Bridge, the stablecoin bank Erebor, and the custody firm Fireblocks. In May 2026, Haun Ventures raised another $1 billion to invest in digital assets companies as well as AI.
