Launched in 2021, Arbitrum is a popular secondary network on the Ethereum blockchain designed to improve transaction speeds and reduce costs. The company that develops the network, Offchain Labs, was cofounded by Harry Kalodner, Steven Goldfeder, and Ed Felten, President Barack Obama's former deputy chief technology officer.
