This Lansing, Mich.-based nonprofit prepares people with disabilities for the workforce. But its commitment to helping others doesn’t end there. Employees donated water to residents in nearby Flint during the recent water crisis. They also take developmentally disabled adults on camping trips, plant city gardens, and build homes with Habitat for Humanity. “It’s pretty amazing to live out our values not only in the work we do but beyond Peckham’s walls,” says Sarah Britton, the organization’s youth program manager.
