The oil and gas explorer hosts monthly diversity luncheons, where representatives from other companies speak about programs that build a stronger community. The Houston company takes these ideas and shapes them for their own purposes. Hilcorp also sets 5-year goals with an intent to double in size. When it reached its goal for 2010, everyone received a $50,000 car or $35,000 in cash. After goals for 2015 were met earlier this year, employees were awarded with bonuses of $100,000 each.
