At this San Francisco-based collaboration software company that makes HipChat, employees are connected globally via the cloud. But offline, it's more difficult. That's why it created Side-By-Side, a group of employees that focus on diversity issues. It has also launched other programs like Women in Tech and a speaker series that welcomes guests to address the whole company.
