Providing electricity in Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and the U.K., the energy company has over 10 million customers across its different regions of operation. But a March 2021 deal is likely to remake the company's geographic profile; in the deal, PPL agreed to sell its U.K. utility business to the British company National Grid, while buying National Grid's Rhode Island unit, The Narragansett Electric Co.
