The maker of graphics processing units jumped into the top 10 this year owing to its generous leave policies and focus on human connection, even through the COVID-19 pandemic. At the end of 2021, CEO Jensen Huang gave employees the week of Christmas off to recharge; this year, each employee will get two prescheduled Free Days off work per quarter in addition to federal holidays and unlimited vacation days. Workers can also benefit from a generous employee stock purchase program, and Nvidia has made pay parity a priority since 2015. Owing to acquisitions made in 2021, the gender pay gap widened, and the promotion rate for Black employees dropped relative to 2020.
