At the end of 2021, CEO Jensen Huang gave employees the week of Christmas off to recharge; this year, each employee will get two prescheduled Free Days off work per quarter in addition to federal holidays and unlimited vacation days. Workers can also benefit from a generous employee stock purchase program, and Nvidia has made pay parity a priority since 2015. Owing to acquisitions made in 2021, the gender pay gap widened, and the promotion rate for Black employees dropped relative to 2020. The company has noted the problem and pledges to rectify both issues going forward.
