The leading maker of personal computers, printers, and other tech gear, including 3D printing solutions, saw sales take off even as many other companies suffered sinking sales during the pandemic. In a year of crisis, HP reached underserved communities through $21 million in various programs, grants, and donations. These initiatives included producing more than 5 million 3D printed PPE parts to help health care workers, and printing and distributing hundreds of thousands of education booklets for young students and teachers in the U.S., Canada, India, and Haiti. Helping its workers at home meant of course providing the right technology but also not overlooking small conveniences like starting meetings five or 10 minutes after each hour to give stressed parents time to check in with their kids learning at home. “I really appreciate that so much thought and care was put into our health and well-being from the get-go,” one employee says.
