HP

HP Inc. is an information technology company best known for its personal computers and printers. The current company was formed in 2015 after the original Hewlett-Packard Company split its personal computer and printer divisions and its enterprise product and business services divisions. The restructuring resulted in HP Inc., which retained Hewlett-Packard’s stock price history and its former stock ticker symbol, while the newly created Hewlett-Packard Enterprise became its own publicly traded company. In March 2020, fellow printing giant Xerox walked away from plans to purchase HP Inc. as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, a development that’s considered a win for HP. The deal was valued at $35 billion before Xerox abandoned its plans to focus on battling through the pandemic.
