Though L3Harris enabled more than 20,000 employees to work remotely amid the pandemic, the defense contractor instituted thorough health and safety measures—including daily virtual health screenings, stringent sanitation protocols, and contact tracing—to ensure the well-being of those working on-site. The company extended grants to employees facing unexpected financial hardship through its “L3Harris Cares” relief fund and also provided its workforce with nearly 22,000 hours of backup child and elder care. “There’s an acceptable level of transparency, care, and concern that is genuine and much appreciated,” employees say.
