Allstate, based in Northbrook, Ill., is a publicly traded insurance company founded in 1931. It’s one of the largest in the U.S., with a strong focus on sponsorships and advertising, including such recognizable ad campaigns as those featuring “Mr. Mayhem” and its slogan, “You’re in good hands.” The company recently unveiled a new identity theft protection product, Digital Footprint, which enables customers to view a list of their online accounts and helps them track data breaches that might affect the security of their personal information. The Allstate Foundation, the company’s philanthropic wing, lately implemented a new interactive financial empowerment curriculum for victims of domestic abuse, through which it provides free support services and resources to help users achieve financial independence.
