At 24, Suchitra Lohia moved to Thailand with husband Aloke and $5 million of family money to found what became Indorama Ventures; Aloke, now group CEO, calls her "my co-pilot." She is executive director and deputy group CEO, overseeing CSR and branding. One in five PET bottles worldwide uses Indorama's resins. Revenue fell 17% to $13.6 billion in 2025; it also reported a net loss that year, though earnings have rebounded in 2026. In March, Indorama agreed to merge its Indian packaging arm into Blackstone-backed EPL, creating a $2 billion group in which it will hold 51.8%.
