Omi Dang wanted to be a teacher. Instead she joined the family sugar firm Thanh Thanh Cong–Bien Hoa, now AgriS; in July 2024, she succeeded her mother, founder Huynh Bich Ngoc, as chair. She has pushed Vietnam's biggest sugar producer into circular agriculture and smart farming. Fiscal 2026 revenue of 26.9 trillion dong ($1 billion) beat guidance but fell 6% on slumping sugar prices; after-tax profit was flat. In September she opened AgriS's Global Innovation Center in Singapore, targeting 60 trillion dong ($2.3 billion) by 2030.
