The company, posting in its private Facebook group earlier this week, announced it “has paused the use of Sean Combs’ music, as well as removed the Bad Boy Entertainment Artist Series, on our platform. This means our Instructors are no longer using his music in any newly produced classes.”

Older classes that used music from Combs will not be pulled from circulation, however.

The decision to pull back from the entertainer follows security footage from 2016 aired on CNN, which showed Combs attacking Casandra “Cassie” Ventura at a Los Angeles hotel. The video shows Combs chase, grab, shove, drag, and kick Ventura, who was then his girlfriend.

“My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video,” Combs said in an Instagram post Sunday.

Ventura has also accused Combs of rape in a lawsuit filed last November. He faces additional civil lawsuits on a range of charges.

Peloton is the latest company to cut ties with Combs since the allegations began piling up. Hulu, which has planned a reality show centered on the music mogul, terminated its relationship with Combs. Liquor company Diageo has pulled back from its affiliation with Combs as well. Products with his name at Macy’s and Walmart have disappeared or been heavily marked down.

Even New York City is reportedly considering rescinding the key to the city given to Combs in 2023, with Mayor Eric Adams saying “We’ve never rescinded a key before, but we are now sitting down to see what the next steps forward are going to be.”

This isn’t the first time Peloton has distanced itself from an artist. In 2022, the company “indefinitely paused” using music from Kanye West after his string of anti-Semitic comments.
