The Democratic National Convention on Wednesday spent less time focused on Donald Trump’s controversial statements and more on trying to undermine the idea that Trump’s business experience qualifies him to be president.
Some of this was done by fellow New York billionaire Michael Bloomberg. But perhaps a more effective cut came from Vice President Joe Biden, who harked back to Trump’s time in reality television.
Biden said:
“His cynicism and undoubtedly his lack of empathy and compassion can be summed up in that phrase he is most proud of making famous: ‘You’re fired.’ I’m not joking. Think about that. Think about that. Think about everything you learned as a child. No matter where you were raised, how can there be pleasure in saying, ‘You’re fired?'”
Trump has not yet responded, but his silence is unlikely to last long….
