Venture Capital Deals

SnapDeal, an Indian online group coupon website, has raised $133.7 million in new VC funding led by existing backer eBay, according to Re/Code. Existing shareholders include Bessemer Venture Partners, Nexus Venture Partners and IndoUS Venture Partners. www.snapdeal.com

ZEFR, a Venice, Calif.-based platform that builds social marketing and rights management software for online video, has raised $30 million in new VC funding. Institutional Venture Partners led the round, and was joined by return backers U.S. Venture Partners, Shasta Ventures, First Round Capital and Richmond Park Partners. www.zefr.com

NxThera Inc., a St. Paul, Minn.-based developer of  vapor ablation therapy to treat a variety of endourology conditions, has raised more than $20 million in Series C funding. No investor information was disclosed. Existing backers include American Medical Systems, Arboretum Ventures, Aberdare Ventures, GDN Holdings, Mitsui & Co., Premier Asia Capital, Alafi Capital and Prolog Ventures.www.nxthera.com

Little Borrowed Dress, a New York-based online bridesmaid-dress rental company, has raised $1.25 million in seed funding from such firms as Index Ventures and Andreessen Horowitz. www.littleborroweddress.com

Percolate, a New York–based content marketing platform, has secured an undisclosed amount of strategic funding from WPP (LSE: WPP). The investment is part of a broader partnership between the two companies. Existing Percolate backers include GGV Capital, First Round Capital and Lerer Ventures. www.percolate.com

Private Equity Deals

The Blackstone Group is in advanced talks to acquire around a 20% stake in Italian fashion house Versace, according to the FT. The deal could value Vercace at upwards of €1 billion (including debt).www.versace.com

The Carlyle Group has competition for the New Zealand waste management business ofTranspacific Industries Group (ASX: TPI) from a consortium led by two unidentified Maori tribes, according to Reuters. The deal could fetch upwards of $830 million, with Beijing Capital Group also considering a bid. Deutsche Bank is running the process. www.carlyle.com

Deere & Co.
 (NYSE: DE) has agreed to sell its irrigation operations (John Deere Water) to Israeli private equity firm FIMI Opportunity Funds. No financial terms were disclosed for the deal, which is expected to close in Q2. www.deere.com

Energy Capital Partners
 has acquired NESCO, a Mayfield Heights, Ohio–based provider of fleet equipment rental, sales and services for the North American electrical transmission and distribution market, from Platinum Equity. No financial terms were disclosed. www.nescoresource.com

Ettain Group Inc.
, a Charlotte–based national IT staffing and talent solutions company, has raised an undisclosed amount of equity funding from New MainStream Capital. www.ettaingroup.com

IPOs

Biomet Inc., a Warsaw, Ind.-based maker of medical devices like dental implants and artificial hips joints, has picked BofA Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan to lead an IPO that could come in the first half of 2014, according to Reuters. Biomet was taken private for $11.4 billion in 2007 by The Blackstone Group, GS Capital Partners, KKR and TPG Capital. www.biomet.com

Radius Health Inc.
, a Cambridge, Mass.-based developer of drug therapies for osteoporosis and women’s health, has filed for an $86.25 million IPO. It plans to trade on the Nasdaq under ticker symbol RDUS, with Jefferies and Cowan & Co. serving as lead underwriters. The company has raised over $200 million in VC funding from MPM Capital (28% pre-IPO stake), The Wellcome Trust (7.9%), HealthCare Ventures (6.3%), BB Biotech Ventures (6.6%), Saints Capital (5.2!), Nordic Bioscience (12.7%) and Brookside Capital Partners (5.9%). www.radiuspharm.com

OTHER M&A

PlanG Holdings Inc., a Bayer AG has agreed to acquire Dihon Pharmaceutical Group, a Chinese developer of OTC and herbal traditional Chinese medicine products. No financial terms were disclosed for the deal, which is expected to close in the second half of 2014. www.bayer.com

Essilor International
 (Paris: EI) has agreed to acquire Coastal Contacts (TSX: COA), a Vancouver-based online direct-to-consumer retailer of vision care products and services. The deal is valued at approximately C$430 million, or C$12.45 per share (42% premium to yesterday’s closing price).www.coastal.com

Food Runner
, a Singapore-based food delivery company, has acquired Philippines-based delivery service City Delivery. No financial terms were disclosed. Food Runner backers include Digital Media Partners and Rebate Network. www.foodrunners.org

Stone River Group has agreed to sell Emerald Connect LLC, a San Diego-based provider of marketing programs to the financial services industry, to Broadridge Financial Solutions Inc. (NYSE: BR) for $60 million in cash. www.emeraldconnect.com

Square, a San Francisco-based mobile payment company, has acquired BookFresh, a San Francisco–based scheduling and appointment booking startup for local merchants. No financial terms were disclosed. BookFresh had been seeded by SV Angel, Baseline Ventures, Hatch Ventures and NBC Universal. www.square.com

Workday (NYSE: WDAY) has acquired Identified, a San Francisco-based social web recruiting startup. No financial terms were disclosed. Identified had raised over $20 million in VC funding from such firms as VantagePoint Capital Partners, Innovation Endeavors, Transmedia Capital and Capricorn Investment Group. www.workday.com
