Deals of the day: Indiegogo raises $30 million

Indiegogo, a San Francisco-based crowdfunding platform, has raised $40 million in Series B funding.Institutional Venture Partners and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers co-led the round, and were joined by return backers Insight Venture Partners, MHS Capital, Metamorphic Ventures and ff Venture Capital. www.indiegogo.com

Madison Reed, a San Francisco-based provider of tech tools for at-home hair coloring, has raised $12 million in Series B funding. Norwest Venture Partners led the round, and was joined by return backers True Ventures and Maveron. www.madison-reed.com

Cotap, a San Francisco-based enterprise mobile messaging service, has raised $10 million in second-round funding. Emergence Capital Partners led the round, and was joined by return backer Charles River Ventures. www.cotap.com

GoCardless, a London-based online payment platform focused on direct debit, has raised $7 million in Series B funding. Balderton Capital led the round, and was joined by return backers Accel Partners and Passion Capital. www.gocardless.com

Simple Energy, a Boulder, Colo.-based energy engagement platform, has raised $6 million in Series B funding led by The Westly Group. www.simpleenergy.com

Voxeet, a San Francisco-based audio-conferencing startup, has raised $1.5 million in seed funding.Partech Ventures led the round, and was joined by Aquiti, Kima Ventures and individual angels.www.voxeet.com

Private Equity Deals

The Blackstone Group has completed its previously-announced $200 million preferred stock investment into footwear maker Crocs Inc. (Nasdaqw: CROX). www.crocs.com

CCMP Capital Advisors has agreed to acquire Jamieson Laboratories Ltd., a Toronto-based provider of vitamins, minerals and nutrition supplements. No financial terms were disclosed.www.jamiesonvitamins.com

Illinois Tool Works Inc. (NYSE: ITW) is expecting final bids next week for its industrial packaging business, which could be valued north of $3 billion, according to the WSJ. Likely bidders are Apollo Global Management, The Carlyle Group, Onex Partners and Platinum Equity. www.itwinc.com

Justrite Manufacturing Co., a Des Plaines, Ill.–based portfolio company of Baird Capital, has acquired Basic Concepts Inc., an Anderson, S.C.-based maker of portable and flexible spill containment solutions. No financial terms were disclosed. www.justritemfg.com

Lily O’Brien’s, an Irish gourmet chocolatier, has raised an undisclosed amount of private equity funding from Carlyle Cardinal Ireland, a new fund jointly managed by The Carlyle Group and Ireland’s Cardinal Capital Group. www.lilyobriens.ie

Spire Capital has invested an undisclosed amount in Telekenex Inc., a San Francisco-based provider of hosted communications, security solutions and managed network / IT solutions to SMB and enterprise customers. www.telekenex.com

Weiman Products LLC, a portfolio company of Cortec Group, has acquired Homax Products Inc., a Bellingham, Wash.-based maker of specialty cleaning and odor elimination brands like Goo Gone, Stone Care International and Natural Magic, from Olympus Partners. No financial terms were disclosed. www.homaxproducts.com

OTHER DEALS

The Bank of Montreal (TSX: BMO) has agreed to acquire British fund manager F&C Asset Management (LSE: FCAM) for approximately $1.2 billion. www.fandc.com

Codero Hosting, an Austin, Texas–based provider of managed, cloud and hybrid hosting services, has raised $8 million in venture debt financing from Silicon Valley Bank and Farnham Street Financial.www.codero.com

Tiger Global Management has agreed to invest nearly $520 million into listed Brazilian online retailerB2W Companhia Digital, in exchange for around a 19% ownership stake. www.b2winc.com

Time Warner Cable (NYSE: TWC) has hired Centerview Partners to advise on a $61 billion takeover offer from Charter Communications (Nasdaq: CHTR), according to the FT.www.timewarnercable.com

United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX) is considering a sale of tax-free spinoff of its Sikorskyhelicopter unit, according to Defense News and The NY Times. Sikorsky products include the Black Hawk helicopters. www.utc.com

Genstar Capital is seeking a buyer for TravelClick Inc., a New York–based provider of online reservation systems for hotels, according to Reuters. Evercore Partners is managing the process, which could garner more than $800 million. www.travelclick.com

Thoma Bravo is considering a sale of Blue Coat Systems, a Sunnyvale, Calif.–based provider of online security and WAN optimization solutions, according to Reuters. Thoma Bravo acquired the company in early 2012 for $1.3 billion. www.bluecoat.com

Vodafone Group PLC (LSE: VOD) is in talks to acquire Spanish cable company Grupo CorporativoONO SA, according to Bloomberg. ONO shareholders include CCMP Capital, Providence Equity Partners and Thomas H. Lee Partners. www.ono.es
