Aurora Capital Group is in the process of selling Mitchell International Inc., a San Diego–based provider of car and property claims software, according to Reuters. The deal could be valued at upwards of $1.5 billion, with first-round bids having come from Advent International, The Blackstone Group, KKR and Warburg Pincus. www.mitchell.com

FrontStream Payments Inc., a Brentwood, Tenn.-based portfolio company of Arsenal Capital Partners, has made two acquisitions: GiftWorks, a provider of donor and event management solutions for nonprofits; and Artez Interactive, a provider of multi-channel fundraising solutions for nonprofits and charities. GoDaddy has acquired Locu, a San Francisco-based builder of geographic and contact profiles for local businesses. No financial terms were disclosed, but AllThingsD puts the pricetag at $70 million in cash and stock. Locu had raised around $4.6 million in VC funding from General Catalyst Partners, Lowercase Capital, Lightbank and SV Angel. GoDaddy is owned by KKR, Silver Lake Partners andTechnology Crossover Ventures. www.locu.com

Greenbriar Equity Group has acquired Nordco Inc., an Oak Creek, Wis.–based provider of rail-related products and services, from OMERS Private Equity. No financial terms were disclosed.www.nordco.com

Harrison Gypsum, a portfolio company of H.I.G. Capital, has acquired the assets of Pinnacle Materials’ Eagle Ford division in South Texas. The business will heretofore do business as ACG Minerals. No financial terms were disclosed. www.harrisongypsum.com

Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. has agreed to acquire 27% stake in RigNet Inc. (Nasdaq: RNET) from Nordic private equity firm Cubera. RigNet is a Houston-based provider of managed remote communications solutions, systems integration and collaborative applications to the global upstream energy sector. www.kkr.com

NewSpring Capital and Violle LLC, an Atlanta-based telco, have acquired a majority stake inUtilipath LLC, a Mooresville, N.C.-based provider of outdoor plant infrastructure services for the telecom infrastructure services market. No financial terms were disclosed. www.utilipath.com

S.F. Express, a Chinese express delivery company, has raised an undisclosed amount of private equity funding from CITIC Capital. www.sf-express.com

Waud Capital Partners has merged two portfolio companies: Adreima, a Phoenix-based provider of clinically-integrated revenue cycle services; and Optimum Outcomes, a Downers Grove, Ill.-based provider of patient-focused account resolution services.
