BrightEdge, a San Mateo, Calif.-based content marketing platform, has raised $42.8 million in Series D funding. Insight Venture Partners led the round, and was joined by return Intel Capital, Battery Ventures, Altos Ventures and Illuminate Ventures. www.brightedge.com

Dermira, a Redwood City, Calif.-based developer of dermatology therapies, has raised $35 million in Series B funding. Maruho Co. led the round, and was joined by return backers Bay City Capital, Canaan Partners and New Enterprise Associates. www.dermira.com

Dataminr, a New York-based provider of real-time social media analytics for the financial and government markets, has raised $30 million in Series C funding co-led by Venrock and Institutional Venture Partners. www.dataminr.com

TalentWise, a Bothell, Wash.-based provider of hiring process management solutions, has raised $25 million in growth equity funding from “a Seattle-based private equity investor group.” www.talentwise.com

CustomMade, a Cambridge, Mass.-based online marketplace for one-of-a-kind goods, has raised $18 million in new VC funding. Atlas Venture led the round, and was joined by return backers Google Ventures, Schooner Capital, Next View Ventures, First Round Capital and Launch Capital.www.custommade.com

FireHost, a Dallas-based cloud hosting company, has raised $12 million in Series D funding led by The Stephens Group. The company previously raised $22 million. www.firehost.com

Colorescience, a Carlsbad, Calif.-based provider of mineral-based cosmetics, has raised $10 million in Series A funding from Split Rock Partners and Montreaux Equity Partners. www.colorescience.com

SageCloud, a Boston-based provider of cold storage tiering being spun out of SkinMedica, has raised $10 million in Series B funding. Braemar Energy Ventures led the round, and was joined by return backer Matrix Partners. www.sagecloud.com

Isabella Products, a Concord, Mass.-based developer of a tablet computer designed specifically for children, has raised $9.2 million in Series A funding. Rudyard Partners (a family office of Isabella founder Matthew Growney) led the round, and was joined by Blue Pacific Group, Pinewood Trading and Spouting Rock Investments. www.isabellaproducts.com

Idomoo, an Israeli personalized video platform operator, has raised $9 million in new VC funding led by New York-based Marker LLC. www.idomoo.com

InternMatch, a San Francisco-based platform for helping companies find and hire student interns, has raised $4 million in Series A funding. Artis Ventures and Subtraction Capital co-led the round, and was joined by existing backers 500 Startups, Kapor Capital and Rudy Gadre. www.internmatch.com

Namely, a New York-based people management platform in the cloud, has raised $3.35 million in Series A funding. True Ventures led the round, and was joined by Lerer Ventures, Bullpen Capital, Mike Lazerow, and Gary Vaynerchuk.www.namely.com

ID90T, a Dallas-based provider of an SaaS platform that lets airlines automate employee space-available travel, has raised $3 million in Series B funding. Gerbera Capital and Mexico Ventures co-led the round, and were joined by return backers Baroda Ventures and Thayer Ventures. www.id90t.com

Qwaya, a Swedish provider of cloud-based tools for Facebook advertising, has raised $3 million in VC funding led by Zobito. www.qwaya.com

WorldDesk, a desktop virtualization startup with offices in Ireland and Silicon Valley, has raised $1.25 million in new VC funding from Lough Shore Investments and others. www.myworlddesk.com

MaxTradeIn, an Indianapolis-based website that lets local auto dealers compete for used cars being sold or traded by existing owners, has raised $1.2 million in seed funding led by Elevate Ventures. www.maxtradein.com
