Report: Steve Jobs’ widow has bought a house in Sun Valley

According to Thurday’s
New York Post
, the richest woman in Silicon Valley (estimate wealth: $9 billion) purchased a house within the last few days in the vicinity of Sun Valley, Idaho, where an A-list of media moguls — including Apple (AAPL) CEO Tim Cook —  and a B-list of New York Post reporters are gathered for this year’s Allen & Co. retreat.

The new house is described as a double A-frame valued between $3 and $4 million.

Meanwhile, the Cult of Mac‘s Killian Bell reports that major renovations are underway in the Palo Alto, Calif., home she shared with Steve Jobs. According to Bell, the changes may involve replacing the roof and are extensive enough to have forced the family to vacate.

Powell is reported to be continuing work on the yacht Jobs was building before he died, but there’s no word on whether she plans to replace the mansion he demolished in Woodside, Calif.
