Chandler’s central location makes for easy access to many of Arizona’s bigger cities, such as Phoenix and Sedona to the north and Tucson to the south. The city is dedicated to balancing economic growth and affordability, with a reasonable cost of living, quality hospitals, and a robust job market.
Intel is one of Chandler’s biggest employers, having set up shop more than 40 years ago and aptly dubbing the state “the Silicon Desert.” The manufacturing giant launched a second campus in Chandler in 2020, with a $20 billion plan to build two more plants at the site.
The community in Chandler pulses with modern amenities and activities. Merchant Square and Highland Yard Vintage both offer a whimsical array of antiques, and Downtown Chandler is home to a beer trail of seven breweries with live music every day of the week. There’s always an exhibit or a performance at Chandler Center for the Arts, and people of all ages can enjoy Chandler Aquatics, offering deep and shallow pools, fitness programs like paddleboard yoga, swim lessons, as well as spray and splash pads.
There are several parks throughout Chandler. The 113-acre Veterans Oasis Park offers a community fishing lake as well as trails for hiking and horseback riding, and Tumbleweed Park provides a playground with themed zones and hosts the Ostrich Festival with music and rides every year.
Chandler is an LGBTQ-friendly community, recently encouraging its residents to sign the One Community AZ Unity Pledge to support nondiscrimination policies in workplaces and housing.
