Rossiello launched BitPesa as a Bitcoin-based cross-border payment system for merchants in Africa and Asia. It quickly caught on and companies are using it to do deals everywhere from Ghana to Japan. Now, Rossiello has her sights set on expansion: In February, BitPesa acquired European money transfer service TransferZero, a Spanish fin-tech startup that is helping BitPesa to grow its global footprint.
