Dominique Senequier

Dominique Senequier founded what would become Ardian in 1996 with the conviction that private markets could be built differently, and since then has very much proved it. In March 2026, Ardian crossed $200 billion in assets under management—cementing its place among Europe’s largest private investment managers. And in 2025, the firm raised more than $20 billion for the third consecutive year. What distinguishes Ardian as much as its scale is its structure: Senequier engineered the firm to be employee-owned, with staffers making up its main shareholder group—a model she pioneered in private equity. She also introduced profit-sharing with portfolio company employees on exit whenever possible.
