Rachel Lord

Rachel Lord has been busy since becoming head of BlackRock’s international business in March 2024. She is co-lead sponsor of JioBlackRock, a 50-50 joint venture with Jio Financial Services that aims to transform India's asset management industry. JioBlackRock received in-principle approval to start a mutual fund business from the Indian capital markets regulator, the Securities and Exchange Board of India, or SEBI, and is pursuing formal approval. Earlier in her career, Lord led BlackRock’s iShares platform in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Under her guidance, BlackRock began launching active ETFs in March 2024 to the European market through its iShares platform. It currently has 16 active ETFS there. Lord leads more than 11,000 BlackRock international employees who manage $3.7 trillion in assets across 75 countries. In fiscal 2024, BlackRock’s international business earned $7 billion of revenue.
