As the managing partner of Edward Jones, Penny Pennington leads the firm’s roughly 55,000 associates, including more than 20,000 financial advisors, who serve more than nine million clients. She assumed the role in 2019; since then, the firm’s net revenue has climbed from $9.4 billion to $16 billion in 2024. Last year, Edward Jones became the first company to add more than 1,000 certified financial planners to its ranks two years in a row. Pennington joined Edward Jones in 2000 after a 14-year career in banking. In 2022, she was elected to a three-year term as a large-firm governor of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, or FINRA. She is a board member of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center, and Washington University in St. Louis.
