Isabel Ge Mahe has led Apple’s Greater China business since 2017. China is one of Apple’s most important markets, accounting for 17% of its total revenue—around $16 billion—for the quarter ending March 2025. Mahe joined Apple in 2008 as vice president of wireless technologies, overseeing how features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC were integrated into Apple products. Mahe has tried to support local communities, such as through training programs for rural teachers, and a new incubation fund for Chinese app developers. China is proving a trickier market for Apple, as the iPhone maker faces revived competition from local players like Huawei and Xiaomi.
