Christel Heydemann, an alumna of France’s prestigious École Polytechnique and École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, became Orange’s CEO in April 2022—the first woman ever to hold that role at the French telecommunications giant. Heydemann began her career in 1997 at Boston Consulting Group as an analyst. She has served on Orange’s board since 2017 and chairs its strategic committee, playing a central role in governance and succession planning. Heydemann has guided Orange to stable growth in core markets and played a key role in the company's ESG efforts. In 2024, Orange's revenues reached €40.3 billion, up 1.2% year on year.
