Angela Liu chairs New Hope Liuhe, the listed arm of the New Hope Group, a Chinese agricultural giant founded by her father, Liu Yonghao. New Hope Liuhe focuses on feed production and livestock, and operates globally. China is investing more in its agriculture sector, both as part of a national drive for food security and to explore whether new technologies could open up greater agricultural productivity. Beijing's support has helped put New Hope at center stage.
